FAQS:

  1. Are outside food vendors or client/guest provided catering allowed? There is no outside catering fee if using our in-house caterer, Rosa's Catering , or if they are booked on your event date. There is a $1000 outside catering fee when choosing a different company from our approved outside caterer list. 

  2. How long is an event rental? Rentals are quoted for a three hour  event time with 2 hours pre-event for setup and 30 minutes post-event for clean up and clearing of personal items. Icon Weddings include an hour of rehearsal time , 8 hours of event time for getting dressed, the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. A wedding coordinator, at least a day of coordinator, is required.

  3. Can we add  time to our rental? Additional event time can be added for $375.00/hr. Additional setup/tear down time may be added for $65.00/hr., but must be scheduled at least 14 business days prior to your event.

  4. What type of events do you host? We are a versatile Knoxville event space hosting most all kinds of events ,expect client hosted ticketed events. This includes but limited to: weddings, birthday parties, UT Events, rehearsal dinners, corporate events, baby showers, bridal showers, holiday parties , training sessions, proms . Do not see what your are looking for ? ASK! 

  5. Is there parking at or near the Sunsphere?  The client has access to a parking space under Clinch Avenue bridge near the base of the Sunsphere. All guests are recommended to park at Locust Street Garage, 540 Locust Street. 

  6. Who schedules uniformed officers if needed? Uniformed officers are scheduled for events by Sunsphere Events at $200 per officer with a minimum of 4 officers with 150 or more guests.

  7. Who is responsible for the set up of  tables and chairs, breakdown after? Our staff will have the tables and chairs in place and ready at the time of your load in, and will break down the tables and chairs after your event. Client is responsible for set up of any items that they provide to include decorations, flowers and center pieces , if not provided by venue or another vendor.

  8. Additional rentals: Linens , decorations and center pieces  can be rented from Sunsphere Events .

  9.  DJ Services: All DJ's must bring their own table and equipment. FOG MACHINES ARE NOT ALLOWED!

  10. What is your alcohol policy? All alcohol must be served by a licensed and fully ensured bartending company. We can offer our preferred vendor.
